Christmas Eve

Our Christmas festivities started on Christmas Eve Eve with the Dills. Since Emori was only a few days old, she wasn't ready to make the long trip to Cullman. So we met in the middle in Birmingham for lunch together. Once again I forgot to take a pic, so instead here is a pic of our beautiful new niece. Isn't she such a doll?!

Our Christmas Eve was busy with two fantastic services at Highlands Auburn. I look forward to our candlelight services all year long!

Then the fun began. And when I say fun, I mean B assembling a play kitchen for three hours or so. I was conveniently busy wrapping presents. Actually, I knew they would never survive being under the tree before Christmas, so I just didn't bother wrapping any until the last minute.

Dada worked so hard, and here's the finished product! Livi gets three gifts just like Jesus did, as another way to share the Christmas story with her. Okay, so I know I'm stretching it this year... But she got a kitchen, accessories (pots/pans, play food, and a broom), and some books. The subjects are of upmost importance: the potty and the Bible.

I simply love these sights and will miss them when they're gone...

One of our favorite parts of the season is getting Christmas cards every day! Here is one of our displays of our friends and family using twine and mini clothespins from Hobby Lobby.
